Allumee, the first drone entertainment company authorized to operate

In January 2021, a new European regulation went into effect. Following several proceedings with the Civil Aviation Security Directorate, Allumee will be able to offer drone shows throughout Europe. No other company has yet obtained these authorizations.

Paris, January 1, 2021 — The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is implementing new regulations. These regulations aim to simplify the classification of drones while imposing stricter rules on their use for professional purposes. The goal of this regulation is to ensure the safe and regulated use of drones. Since this law took effect, companies that use drones that may come into close proximity to the public or civilians are required to comply with several safety standards set by the Civil Aviation Safety Directorate (DSAC). In practice, in order to obtain these authorizations, Allumee had to submit a dossier to the Civil Aviation Security Directorate describing the entire organization, flight procedures, emergency plans, and the training provided to its staff. This dossier is necessary to ensure that the company is doing everything possible to provide optimal safety for its passengers and customers. Convinced by these documents, the DSAC has granted Allumee a specific-category operating permit and has full confidence in the company’s ability to operate and present spectacular shows in France—and, by extension, throughout Europe—in the coming months. This authorization represents a major step forward in making drone shows more accessible across Europe. “ This is a major milestone for Allumee and a dream come true for me.
