Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer all your questions in this FAQ!

How much does a drone show cost?

Drone shows are a disruptive technology ahead of its time. Our rates start at 16,000 euros for a show performed multiple times at the same venue. Find detailed pricing information for a drone show online .

We offer pre-designed set designs each season.

How long does it take to organize a show?

We recommend allowing two months to properly plan each milestone.

Please note that the prefecture’s processing time for permit applications is 45 days for a public performance and 30 days for a private performance.

Our pre-filled forms help ensure that the prefectures respond quickly.

What happens if a performance cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, health restrictions)?

Together, we’ll work to find a new date that works best for you.

Can you create shows based on a specific theme?

Yes, all the shows we create are based on a specific theme.

Then we look for images and inspiration that we can adapt into performances.

If you have an idea, our creative team would love to hear about your project.

How many drones can you fly?

The only limit is your imagination.

More specifically, our technical limit is 65,534 drones.

Can you fly outdoors and indoors?

Allumee produces shows exclusively outdoors.

Our drones determine their position in space using signals transmitted by GNSS satellite constellations (GPS, GALILEO, BAIDU).

Can you put on shows in any weather?

The restrictions are similar to those for fireworks; we are limited by strong winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms.

Are performances on the water possible?

Yes, we can operate above water. This requires additional precautions, but it will greatly simplify the process of staging a ballet in a densely populated urban area.

How long does a drone show last?

Our drones have a flight time of 25 minutes.

However, for safety reasons in the event of very low temperatures or very strong winds, we design shows that last no more than 20 minutes.

Nevertheless, we can envision two fleets of drones taking turns every 20 minutes to put on a continuous show.

How far away can your shows be seen?

That will depend heavily on the area covered in the sky and the density of the drones.

A drone is visible from up to 5 kilometers away; however, on its own, it will be difficult to spot among other light sources.

On the other hand, 200 drones flying in a tight formation can easily exceed those 5 kilometers.

How do you ensure that a drone doesn't crash into the crowd?

That is exactly the question the Directorate General of Civil Aviation asked us, and we wrote a 200-page report to explain it.

They liked the answer! And we’re allowed to fly anywhere in Europe.

In summary: A high level of security and simple, easy-to-follow procedures.

What are the risks to the public?

The risk to the public is extremely low; we have:

  • Software Security Measures
  • Hardware security measures
  • Observers
  • In the worst-case scenario, the drone will fall into the exclusion zone, where there are no people.
Does your company put on fireworks displays?

We prefer to leave this area to specialized companies because it goes against our values; these shows cause a great deal of disruption (pollution, noise, fire).

How much time is needed between each performance?

Technically, with two fleets taking turns, we can put on a continuous show.

With just one fleet, it will take us 30 minutes to change the batteries and calibrate the drones.

Who handles the permits with the various authorities?

We’ll take care of this part to make sure nothing is missing on the big day.

Are drones reusable?

Yes, our drones are reusable. They are designed to fly for thousands of hours, so we consider them a sustainable resource.

Why include a sound system in your performances?

We know that 70% of emotions are conveyed through sound. At Allumee, we are committed to providing a sound and lighting system that will delight audiences.

What information do you need to make a proposal?

In order to respond to your request as accurately and quickly as possible, we need the following information:

  • The desired duration of the show.
  • The number of drones you’d like. Please visit the “Our Shows” page to see what’s possible.
  • The possible flight zone(s). A Google Maps link would be ideal.
  • The date of the performance.
  • The type of performance desired: a show from the catalog or a customized show.
