Our new signature show, presented to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Les Arcs 1800
Allumee was back in Savoie on February 20 and 27, 2025, for a special occasion: the 50th anniversary celebration of Les Arcs 1800! To mark the occasion, the iconic Savoie ski resort hosted several days of alpine festivities, including two unique drone shows for residents and tourists.
For us, it was an opportunity to present our brand-new signature show, “La Conquête des Cimes,” to the general public. The show features 224 drones and is narrated by Luc de Villars, who adds a special touch to the performance. Between 4,000 and 5,000 spectators per evening attended the show on these two dates.
A story with a mysterious and fascinating atmosphere
Luc de Villars’s calm, deep voice perfectly complemented the mystical and epic atmosphere of the narrative, illustrated by exclusive footage captured by our drones. The story is an ode to the grandeur of nature, tracing the evolution of the relationship between humans and the mountains in three phases:
- An introduction to ancient Alpine beliefs, according to which mountains were considered living beings, home to powerful spirits and mythical creatures
- Next came the conquest of the highlands by the first explorers, followed by the dawn of aviation and the crossings of mountain ranges
- Finally, the mountains come to be portrayed as a place of fun and wonder open to everyone, from winter sports to nature appreciation.
Young and old alike were captivated by this story, which was as fascinating as it was mysterious—made possible thanks to the Les Arcs Tourist Office and, of course, Luc de Villars, both of whom we would like to thank.
